Tall taper candles stretch above the pink and purple blossoms in this easy-to-create design.
Supplies:
Container:
- Plastic foam ( styrofoam) wreath, 12" diameter
Flowers & foliage :
- 3 pink peonies ( mass flower )
- 3 hydrangeas- blue, purple, burgundy ( mass flower)
- 2 purple statice stem ( filler flower)
- White wax flower ( filler flower)
- Assorted white and purple filler flowers
- Assorted greenery ( your choice)
- Hot pink star flowers ( dried)
Other supplies & tools:
- Green sheet moss
- Floral U-pin
- Glue gun and glue
- Wire cutters
- Floral paddle wire
- Wood picks
- 3 plastic candle holders for tapers
- 3 taper candles, 15"
Instructions:
- Step 1.
- Cover all but the bottom side of the wreath with green sheet moss. Secure with floral U-pins.
- Step 2.
- Wrap the wreath over the moss with paddle wire paddle wire to further secure the moss.
- Step 3.
- Place the wreath flat on your work surface. Insert and glue the candle holders at 10 o'clock. Insert the candles in the holders.
- Step 4.
- Insert and glue two peonies in front of the 10 o'clock candle. Insert and glue another peony between the other two candles.
- Step 5.
- Attach a cluster of star flowers to a wood pick. Insert behind the 10 o'clock candle. Attach a cluster of star flowers beside the other two candles.
- Step 6.
- Insert and glue hydrangea, wax flowers, statice, additional clusters of star flowers, and / or other filler flowers around each candle. Make sure the flowers follow the curves of the wreath.
