Supplies:
- Galvanized steel buckets
- Doble boiler
- Paraffin wax
- Wax fragrance or essential oil
- Primed wick
- Wicking needle
- A wick sustainer
Instructions:
- Step 1.
- Trim a length of primed wick to just below the holes in the bucket. Support the wick with a wick sustainer and place it in the center of the container.
- Step 2.
- Pour 2.5cm of molten wax into the bottom of the bucket and let it w set. This cements the wick holder to the base to keep the wick in place.
- Step 3.
- Add a few drops of your chosen fragrance or oil to the molten wax and stir to make sure the mixture is well blended. Be careful not to add too much frangrance to the wax since some are hightly perfumed.
- Step 4.
- Support the wick by attaching it to a wicking needle that rests over the bucket. Then pour in the perfumed wax, remembering to stop short of any decorative holes in the container and leave to set. Shringkage may occur while the wax is setting, so you may need to add extra wax if neccessary.
